Archen Aydin was born on March 10, 2001, in Bangkok, Thailand, to a Thai mother and a father of Thai descent. His ethnicity is Thai, with Turkish influences from his stepfather, and he follows Buddhism.

At age eight, he moved to Turkey with his mother and Turkish stepfather, where he lived for 10 years. Growing up in Turkey, he faced bullying but found solace in performing. Joong became fluent in Turkish, alongside Thai, English, and some Chinese, shaping his global perspective.
