Raised in Le Muy, Var, alongside an older brother and a younger brother and sister, he often clashed with his older sibling during childhood. His passion for drawing led to creating comics and enrolling in an art class in Nice.

At 16, he worked a summer job at a hardware store, doodling on cement bags. Cyprien began studying at Aix-Marseille University but dropped out in 2008 to move to Paris and pursue a career in media, animating Le Rewind for 20minutes.fr.

His ethnicity is Romanian, and his religion is not publicly known.

Career

Cyprien launched his online career in April 2007 at age 18, posting comedic podcasts and tests on Dailymotion under the pseudonym Monsieur Dream, alongside illustrations on his blog, monsieurdream.com (now cyprien.fr).

His early success came with a 2007 blogging contest win organized by Loïc Le Meur, earning him €500. Transitioning to YouTube in February 2007, his channel grew with skits like “Cyprien répond à Cortex” (2011, 47 million views) and “Technophobe” (2015, 36 million views), making him France’s most-subscribed YouTuber from 2013 to 2019.

In 2013, he co-founded CyprienGaming (later Bigorneaux & Coquillages) with Squeezie, focusing on gameplay videos like INSIDE XBOX ONE. His main channel hit 10 million subscribers in 2016.

Beyond YouTube, Cyprien diversified his career. He produced Le mot de la fin de Cyprien for NRJ 12’s Les Anges (2011) and hosted 12 infos de Cyprien until its cancellation in 2011.

In 2013, he launched the clothing brand Narmol, followed by a children’s line in 2014. His first short film, Technophobe (2015), marked his directorial debut, followed by Le Hater and La Cartouche.

He co-created the comic Roger et ses humains (2015) with Paka, a bestseller, and the audio series L’Épopée Temporelle (2017), later adapted into an animated series presented at Canneseries in 2021. In 2017, he starred in the mini-series Presque adultes with Norman Thavaud and Natoo.

His 2019 podcast 301 vues on LeStream featured internet personalities, and he released the mobile game Make More Views in 2020. Despite a 27% viewership drop in 2020, he gained 12 million TikTok views and 863,000 on Twitch.

In 2025, he continued creating skits and directing, maintaining a strong presence with 0.4 videos monthly, averaging 2.6 million views each.
