Early Life and Education
Richardson was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, the son of a Ghanaian mother and an African-American father. Every year during his youth, he travelled with his family to Ghana, where his grandfather held a local chieftaincy and civic role.
He graduated from University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy in 2002, then studied theatre at Wayne State University before launching his professional career.
