Trifonov launched the legendary late-night show Slavi’s Show (originally Kanaleto) in 2000 on bTV; it ran for nearly 20 years, becoming the highest-rated program in Bulgarian television history. With Ku-Ku Band he released over 20 albums, blending folk-rock and satire, and produced hits such as “Edin ot mnogoto” and “Ne me zhalete.”
He has hosted multiple New Year’s Eve specials, starred in films, and founded the political party There Is Such a People (ITN) in 2020, briefly becoming Bulgaria’s most powerful political figure in 2021. In 2023 he stepped back from active politics but remains a dominant media personality.
