His grandfather, Subbaiah Naidu, was the first hero of Kannada silent cinema—a legacy of cinema and theatre surrounds him. He attended Shanthi Niketan Residential School and later secured his graduation degree from SSMRV College in Bangalore, completing his education in 2001.

Srujan Lokesh married Greeshma, a theatre personality, television actress, and Kathak dancer, in 2010. The couple is parents to two sons, Sukruth Lokesh and Shresht Lokesh.

Career

Srujan Lokesh began as a child artist, appearing in the films Bhujangayyana Dashavathara (1990) and Veerappan (1991). He started his lead-actor journey with Neela Megha Shyama in 2002, though it did not perform strongly at the box office.

Thereafter, he took on supporting and guest roles in films like Porki, Navagraha, Chingari, Edegarike, Andhar Bahar, Snehitaru, and IPC Section 300.

His television career brought him broader recognition. He hosted shows including Maja With Sruja (2009–11), Sye (dance reality show), Kitchen Kiladigalu (cookery show), Maja Talkies (since 2015), and others like Kaasige Toss, Chota Champion, Comedy Talkies, and he judged Raja Rani (2021) and Nannamma Super Star (2021).

In 2013, he and his mother Girija Lokesh founded Lokesh Productions, which has produced successful Kannada television shows such as Challenge, Kaasige Toss, Chota Champion, and Majaa Talkies among others.
