Yoon Dong-gu, known as Yoon Shi-yoon, was born on September 26, 1986, and is now 39 years old.

He spent his childhood in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do, where he lived as an only child and was raised primarily by his grandparents, as his parents were often absent due to work commitments in Seoul.

Unlike his peers, who attended kindergarten and studied English, he studied at a traditional seodang school, where he learned Confucian teachings and Hanja (classical Chinese characters).
