Early Life and Education

Allwell Adetokunbo Ademola was born on August 9, 1982, in Lagos State, Nigeria. She hails from Abeokuta in Ogun State and is of Yoruba ethnicity. She is the first child of her parents and grew up in Surulere, Lagos.

Allwell is the granddaughter of Nigeria’s first Chief Justice, Justice Adetokunbo Ademola. She completed her primary and secondary education in Lagos before pursuing higher education at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, where she studied Dramatic Arts.

Personal Life

In 2005, Allwell Ademola was engaged to be married, but tragically, her fiancé was shot and killed by armed robbers two months before their wedding.   

This devastating loss led her into a period of mourning that lasted two years. Subsequently, she entered into a relationship with the man who was to be their best man, but this relationship ended after eight months. As of now, Allwell remains single and has no children.

Allwell Ademola’s career in the entertainment industry spans several decades, beginning in 1985 with her appearance on NTA’s “Animal Games.”  

She officially joined Nollywood in 1992 and gained prominence in 2008 with roles in films like “You or I” and “Omo Emi.” Her versatility is evident in her work as an actress, director, scriptwriter, and singer.

She has produced and directed over 50 movies, including “False Flag” and “Mimi’s Voice,” and has written scripts for notable films such as “Eti Keta.” In addition to her film work, Allwell established a music band, Allwell and Company, in 2002 and released an album in 2006.
