Angela Sarafyan was born on June 30, 1983, in Yerevan, Armenia, when it was part of the Soviet Union. Her parents, Mr. Grigor Sarafyan, an actor, and Mrs. Zarmine Sarafyan, a painter, moved to Los Angeles when Angela was four, just before Armenia gained independence.
