Ghita Nørby now aged 90, was born on 11 January 1935 in Copenhagen, Denmark, to opera singer Einar Nørby and pianist Guldborg Laursen. She grew up in a highly artistic environment, regularly exposed to the Royal Danish Theatre through her father.
