Early Life and Education

Maisa da Silva Andrade is now 23 years old. She was born on 22 May 2002 in São Bernardo do Campo, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. She is an only child. Her parents are Gislaine Andrade and Celso Andrade.

She lived between ages two and seven in São José dos Campos, and for professional reasons, in 2009 she and her family relocated to Alphaville, Barueri.

Career

Maisa’s career in entertainment began at very young age. In 2005, when she was about three years old, she appeared on Programa Raul Gil, performing dubbing, lip syncing, and acting segments. From there, she gained recognition and in 2007 she joined the network SBT, where she hosted Sábado Animado, Domingo Animado, and later Bom Dia & Cia.

In 2008 she became part of the Programa Silvio Santos via the segment Pergunte à Maisa, in which she answered spontaneous questions posed by Silvio Santos, contributing to her rise in popularity.

At age nine in 2009, she released her first album, Tudo que Me Vem na Cabeça, via Universal Music, with tracks such as “Tempo de Mudar,” “Pipoca Pula,” “Me Liga,” and the title track. In October 2011, Maisa left Bom Dia & Cia to take on an acting role as Valéria Ferreira in the Brazilian remake of the telenovela Carrossel.

She returned to children’s programming in 2013, presenting Sábado Animado again, and later co-hosting Mundo Pet in 2014. In December 2014, she released an EP entitled Eu Cresci!, featuring five new tracks.

Her film roles began when she starred in Carrossel: O Filme (2015) as Valéria Ferreira, followed by Carrossel 2: O Sumiço de Maria Joaquina (2016).
