Early Life and Education

Nina Seničar, now aged 40, was born on 11 November 1985 in Novi Sad, in what was then the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (now Serbia). She is the daughter of Goran Seničar and Slavica Seničar.

Growing up in Vojvodina’s cultural-rich environment, she engaged in competitive equestrian show-jumping, and in 2001 earned national champion status in show jumping in Serbia.

At 18 she won a full scholarship to attend Bocconi University in Milan, Italy, where she completed a Master of Science degree in International Economics and Management in Arts, Culture, Media and Entertainment. While in high school she had begun acting in her drama club at age 14.

Personal Life

Seničar met American actor Jay Ellis in Los Angeles in 2015, introduced by a mutual friend. After years of dating, the couple became engaged in January 2019 during a trip to Bali.

They welcomed their daughter Nora Grace in November 2019. On 9 July 2022 the two married in Tuscany, Italy. Their son Noa Gray was born on 11 July 2024.

Career

Seničar began her professional journey in Italy as a model and television host. Her early television presence included Italian shows and public appearances, and she gained further exposure as a presenter and participant on Italian television.

Her film acting career include both Italian and American productions. In 2011 she appeared in Napoletans and Dark Resurrection – Volume 0. In 2017 she appeared in the film Papillon alongside Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek, and in Mayhem.

She has also done voice-work, in the animated film Arctic Justice (also known as Arctic Dogs) where she voiced the character Inka.
