Ha Dong-hoon began his entertainment career as a member of the hip-hop group Zikiri in 2001, though the group did not gain widespread success. He then transitioned to acting, debuting in the MBC sitcom Nonstop (season 3) around 2002–2003, which helped him gain recognition.
In 2004, he co-hosted the radio show “Haha and Mong’s Journey” alongside MC Mong. He released his solo album The Beautiful Rhyme Diary in 2005, followed by the hit digital single “You Are My Destiny” in 2007, which reached number one on Korea charts.
He joined the variety show Infinite Challenge in 2005–2006 and became a long-standing fixture on that program. In 2010 he returned from his military service and continued major roles in comedy and hosting, notably becoming a permanent cast member of Running Man in 2010.
