Early Life and Education

Casyo Valentine Johnson and Karl Dominic Wilson (Krept & Konan) both grew up in South London. Krept was raised in Gipsy Hill, Konan in Thornton Heath. They met in 2005 as teenagers, when their schools played each other in a football match. Their friendship deepened over time, and they started collaborating musically.

Krept attended Harris Academy South Norwood (formerly Stanley Technical College) for secondary school, then A Levels at Richmond Upon Thames College. He also studied accounting at the University of Portsmouth. Konan went to Haling Manor School (now Harris Academy Purley).
