He also participated in groups such as Simplicidade Maior, and later formed or was part of bands like Zairê and Apert Play before entering Parangolé. His breakthrough came when he joined Parangolé as lead vocalist; under his leadership, the group enjoyed renewed success in Bahia and nationally.

One of the pivotal songs was “Rebolation,” co-written by Léo and Nenel, which became a massive hit during Carnaval 2010 and elevated Parangolé’s reach.
