Mýa started her career on television. She was a dancer on BET’s Teen Summit. Later, she signed with University Records, which is part of Interscope Records. This deal allowed her to release her first album called Mya in 1998. The album featured her first single, “It’s All About Me,” which had Sisqo on it.
