Enrico Sangiuliano was born on October 11, 1988, in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Growing up in the Emilia-Romagna region, he developed an early interest in music, influenced by his father’s progressive rock collection and his grandmother’s singing.

During his teenage years, he became fascinated with electronic music and began experimenting with music production on his computer in the 1990s. After being involved in a car accident, he used the insurance payout to move to Milan, where he pursued formal education in sound design at IED Milano.

Career

Enrico Sangiuliano began his career in the early 2000s, performing at illegal raves across Northern Italy. His unique sound and energy quickly gained him recognition within the underground techno scene. In 2009, he released his first tracks, which led to collaborations with various labels, including Truesoul, Herzblut, Gem Records, and Rhythm Converted.

His breakthrough came in 2015 with the remix of DJ Boris’s “Can You Hear Me,” which topped Beatport’s techno chart for 14 weeks and became the highest-selling techno track of the year.

Following this success, Enrico released several chart-topping EPs, including “X-Pollination” and “Moon Rocks,” the latter of which featured all four tracks in Beatport’s Techno Top 10.

In 2018, he released his debut album “Biomorph” on Drumcode. The album was divided into four parts, representing the stages of evolution, and included tracks that ventured into breakbeat and downtempo rhythms.

In 2022, Enrico launched his transient record label, NINETOZERO, aiming to challenge the modern narrative of perpetual music consumption. The label’s first release was the “Silence” EP, designed as a 10-chapter project that will conclude with its final release.
