Now 38, Yang Se-chan was born on December 8, 1986, in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. He is the younger sibling to comedian Yang Se-hyung.

His parents are Yang Sang-jae and Hong Sung-ran. He attended Jangan University and studied in the entertainment field, preparing for a career in performance.
