Kim Hyung-soo, known as Lee Wan, was born on January 3, 1984, in Nam District, Ulsan, South Korea, to Kim Yoo-moon and Mrs. Kim. He grew up alongside his older sister, actress Kim Tae-hee, and his brother Kim Hee Won.

Initially uninterested in acting, Lee focused on sports and attended Mapo High School before enrolling at Kookmin University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.
