From 1949 onwards, she was a principal soloist at the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Armenia.

She performed lead roles in twenty-three different operas, which included both Armenian national operas like Anoush and Davit Bek and European classics like Lucia di Lammermoor.

She performed in over 4,000 concerts internationally, including performances in the United States, Europe, and Russia. Later in her career, she also taught at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, where she was made a full professor in 1973.
