Career
Henry Seriake Dickson started his professional path in law, serving as associate solicitor at Serena David Dokubo & Co. (1994-1995) and Aluko & Oyebode (1995-1996), before establishing Seriake Dickson & Co. as managing solicitor from 1996 to 2006.
He entered politics with the Alliance for Democracy as Bayelsa chairman (1998-2000) and national legal adviser (2000-2002), then joined the PDP.
Appointed Attorney-General of Bayelsa (2006-2007), he won election to the House of Representatives for Sagbama/Ekeremor (2007-2012), chairing the Justice Committee and pushing the Evidence Act amendment.
Elected governor in 2012 with over 90% of votes, he served until 2020, implementing free compulsory education, healthcare upgrades, and over 50 state bills like the Transparency Law.
