Early Life and education

Lilit Hovhannisyan, who is now at the age of 38, was born on 7 December 1987 in Yerevan, Armenia. She grew up with a natural inclination toward creativity and initially dreamed of becoming a dress designer.

Her mother worked as a teacher of Armenian language and literature, and her father was an engineer. It was her father who strongly persuaded her to pursue music and explore her vocal abilities. Despite being very shy, she took the risk of participating in a major music contest, which became her first step into the music.

She graduated from Yerevan State University in 2005. She then continued her education at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, majoring in jazz and vocal studies, and graduated in 2011.

Lilit Hovhannisyan has been married to Vahram Petrosyan since June 29, 2011. Petrosyan is a songwriter, record producer, and jazz pianist who was her mentor when she competed in the first season of Hay Superstar.
