Meet Aditya Srivastava’s Children: Arushi Srivastava and Adwika Srivastava

Aditya Srivastava, celebrated for his iconic role as Senior Inspector Abhijeet in the long-running Indian crime series CID, is as devoted to his family in real life as he is disciplined on screen.

Born on July 21, 1968, in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, he comes from a middle-class Brahmin family and is 57 years old.

His father, D.N. Srivastava, worked as a government employee, while his mother’s name has never been publicly disclosed. He has a younger brother, Ashutosh Srivastava, who works as an assistant director in the film industry.

Aditya grew up in modest surroundings and attended MGS Inter College in Sultanpur before graduating from Allahabad University. During his university years, he became deeply involved in theatre, performing with the university drama group and the renowned Sangeet Samiti in Civil Lines.

These experiences solidified his passion for acting. In 1989, at twenty-one, he moved to Delhi to pursue acting professionally and trained at the Sri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.

He follows Hinduism and belongs to a North Indian Brahmin (Srivastava) community. Standing 5 feet 10 inches (178 cm) tall, Aditya has always maintained a low-profile personal life. He had no known dating history before marriage.

In 2003, he married Mansi Srivastava, a psychologist, through an arranged match. The couple has two daughters—Arushi Srivastava, born around 2005, and Adwika Srivastava, born around 2007. This has remained his only marriage.

Though he is best known for portraying a tough and sharp-witted police officer, Aditya’s real-life persona is gentle and family-centered. Arushi Srivastava
