Together, they raised a large family of seven children—Macaulay, Kieran, Rory, Shane, Dakota, Quinn, and Christian—in a modest Manhattan apartment. Patricia worked as a telephone operator and was primarily responsible for managing the household, while Kit focused on the children’s careers.
