Jessica Johanna Oseguera González (La Negra)

Jessica Johanna Oseguera González, known by the alias “La Negra”, is one of El Mencho’s daughters and has been the most publicly visible of the children in legal contexts.

Born around 1987 in San Francisco, California, she is a dual U.S.-Mexican citizen. She studied marketing at a university in Guadalajara, Mexico, and has maintained a relatively low public profile compared to her father and brother, though she has been linked to the cartel’s financial networks.

In February 2020, Jessica was arrested in Washington, D.C., while attending a court hearing for her brother Rubén. U.S. authorities charged her with violations of the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act, specifically for engaging in financial transactions with businesses sanctioned for ties to the CJNG, including providing material support to the organization through dealings in properties and companies.

She pleaded guilty in March 2021 to related charges and was sentenced to 2.5 years (30 months) in federal prison in June 2021. After serving her time (with some credit for good behavior), she was released in April 2022.

Laisha Michelle Oseguera González

Laisha Michelle Oseguera González is the other daughter of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes and Rosalinda González Valencia. She has maintained the lowest public profile among the three siblings, with far less detail available about her personal life or activities than about her brother’s or sister’s.

Authorities and media reports have occasionally linked her to cartel-related investigations or activities, though specifics remain limited, and she has not faced the same level of high-profile arrests or convictions as her siblings.
