Her parents were Tommy and Maureen Nolan, Irish-born performers who relocated their family to Blackpool when Coleen was young. Coleen Nolan’s career began as a child singer: in 1974, at almost nine years old, she made her first television appearance with her sisters on the show It’s Cliff Richard! performing as The Nolan Sisters.
