Later in 1995 she competed at Miss World in Sun City, South Africa, and emerged the winner, becoming Venezuela’s fifth Miss World. Earlier that same year she also won “Top Model of the World 1995“.

Following her pageant success, she moved into modelling, and founded a modelling agency and school in Venezuela. She also launched a fashion line “J by Jacqueline Aguilera” focusing on swimwear and fashion with social-impact elements.
