Career

Laura Wontorra’s television career began with internships and a journalist’s traineeship (Volontariat) at Sky Deutschland. After completing her traineeship, she worked as moderator, sports reporter and field reporter for Sky through early 2013.

In mid-2013 she moved to Sport1, where she served as moderator and field-reporter. From the 2017/18 season she joined the RTL Group: on Nitro for Bundesliga shows, and working for RTL’s coverage of the German national football team’s qualifiers.

Since 2016 she has been host of Ninja Warrior Germany on RTL. From 2020 she also hosts the cooking show Grill den Henssler (VOX). Starting around 2021/22 she became part of DAZN’s football coverage.

In 2023 she took on hosting duties for Deutschland sucht den Superstar on RTL. In summer 2025 she returned to RTL Sport for football presentation, including alternating presenting 2. Fußball-Bundesliga matches. For DAZN she continues to work in sports coverage.
