Laura Wontorra is now 36 years old, having been born on 26 February 1989 in Bremen, Germany. Her father is Jörg Wontorra, a well-known sports journalist and television presenter; her mother is Ariane Wontorra (née Moschkau), who works as an editor.

She grew up in a media-aware environment and later moved to Cologne.

After completing secondary school (Abitur), from October 2008 until September 2011 she studied media management with a focus on public relations and communication at the Macromedia University of Applied Sciences for Media and Communication in Cologne. Career

Laura Wontorra’s television career began with internships and a journalist’s traineeship (Volontariat) at Sky Deutschland. After completing her traineeship, she worked as moderator, sports reporter and field reporter for Sky through early 2013.

In mid-2013 she moved to Sport1, where she served as moderator and field-reporter. From the 2017/18 season she joined the RTL Group: on Nitro for Bundesliga shows, and working for RTL’s coverage of the German national football team’s qualifiers.

Since 2016 she has been host of Ninja Warrior Germany on RTL. From 2020 she also hosts the cooking show Grill den Henssler (VOX). Starting around 2021/22 she became part of DAZN’s football coverage.
