Verónica Romero was born on 18 July 1978 in Elche (Elx), Alicante, Spain. Her father, Octavio Romero, passed away around the time her second album was released. She has two older siblings. She grew up in the Valencian Community. From a young age she showed musical interest: she practised gymnastics, worked as an aerobics instructor in her youth, studied technique in vocal and trained in dance/drama (including in London at some point).
