Uroš Đurđević is a renowned Montenegrin professional footballer. He was born on March 2, 1994, in Belgrade, Serbia. Raised in the Belgrade area during the turbulent post-Yugoslav period, he began playing football at age five with local club Obrenovac 1905.
He later joined the youth academies of Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd before moving to FK Rad in 2008. His dual heritage — his father born in Podgorica, Montenegro — allowed him to acquire Montenegrin citizenship in 2021. His ethnicity is Serbian with Montenegrin roots.
Career
Uroš Đurđević started his senior career with FK Rad in Serbia in 2011, scoring his first goal in 2012 and netting 9 league goals in the 2012–13 season. In 2014, he moved to Dutch club Vitesse, where he scored occasionally, including a notable goal against Ajax.
After spells with Olympiacos (Greece) and Sporting Gijón (Spain, where he scored 66 goals in 232 matches and aided promotion to La Liga), he transferred to Atlas in Mexico in 2024. Internationally, he represented Serbia at youth levels before switching to Montenegro in 2021, earning over 10 senior caps without goals as of late 2025.
