Career
Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono served in the Indonesian Army from 2000 until 2016, leaving with the rank of major and with his final role as commander of Batalyon Infanteri Mekanis 203/Arya Kamuning.
In 2016, he stepped down from military service to run for Governor of Jakarta, backed by multiple parties.
Although unsuccessful, he remained active in politics and was appointed by his father to lead the Democratic Party’s task force for the 2018 regional elections and the 2019 legislative elections, helping the party achieve key targets.
On 15 March 2020, he officially became the Chairman (General Chairman) of the Democratic Party, succeeding his father.
In February 2024, he was appointed Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency.
He later took on the role of Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development in the new cabinet in October 2024.
