American actress and reality television personality Masika Kalysha, 40, has gone public with a new romantic relationship with Los Angeles rapper HoodTrophy Bino, 25, just three weeks after the tragic death of her estranged husband, entrepreneur Jamar Champ.

Champ, 38, died on October 28, 2025, in a fatal three-vehicle collision on Houston’s Katy Freeway when a wrong-way driver struck his Tesla Cybertruck head-on.

The crash also involved a tractor-trailer; authorities confirmed alcohol impairment on the part of the at-fault driver. Kalysha, widely known for her role on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and as the mother of Fetty Wap’s daughter Khari Maxwell, shared a young daughter, Amari Hermes Champ, with Champ.

The couple had been separated since 2023 and were in mediation regarding custody and support arrangements at the time of his passing.

On November 26, HoodTrophy Bino (real name unspecified in public records) posted photographs and videos of himself with Kalysha on Instagram, referring to her as “baby” and later “love of my life.” Kalysha reposted the content, effectively confirming the relationship.

The timing has drawn significant public attention and mixed reactions. While some fans have expressed support for Kalysha’s personal journey, others, including members of Champ’s family, have criticised the pace of the new romance, describing it as disrespectful to the grieving process.
