Aboki Naira to Dollar Black Market Exchange Rate Today, 23rd February 2026

The Nigerian Naira held steady in the parallel market against the US Dollar this morning. Informal forex dealers across major cities are quoting the Dollar between ₦1,355 and ₦1,362 for selling, while buying rates sit slightly lower around ₦1,340 to ₦1,355.

This keeps the black market premium very narrow over the official rate, which is trading near ₦1,339–₦1,342 per Dollar in early NAFEM sessions. The tight spread reflects continued improvement in forex supply and reduced pressure from speculation.

Rates can still differ slightly depending on location, dealer and amount being exchanged, so checking with several Bureau de Change operators remains advisable before any transaction.

The modest stability seen today follows a pattern of gradual Naira strengthening over recent weeks, supported by better oil earnings and ongoing Central Bank measures to improve liquidity in the formal market.
