Nayel Nassar was born on January 21, 1991, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He is now 34 years old. Shortly after his birth, his Egyptian parents, Fouad Nassar and Iman Harby, relocated the family to Kuwait, where they managed Diwan Interiors International, an architectural and interior design firm.

Nassar spent his formative years in Kuwait, where he began riding horses at the age of five and started show jumping by the age of ten. In 2009, at the age of 18, he returned to the United States to pursue higher education. He attended Stanford University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2013.

Nayel Nassar met Jennifer Gates, daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates, through their shared passion for equestrian sports. The couple began dating in January 2017 and got engaged during a ski trip in January 2020.
