Over time, he established a vast network, collaborating with other notable figures like Karim Lala and Varadarajan Mudaliar.

Mastan diversified his ventures by investing in real estate and film production, producing several Bollywood films. In the 1980s, he entered politics, founding the Dalit Muslim Suraksha Maha Sangh, aiming to represent marginalized communities. His political aspirations, however, did not achieve significant success.
