In 2015, she joined TSN as a radio producer and on-air update anchor for TSN 1050 before transitioning to an on-air reporter and anchor role in 2017.
In January 2018, Kayla made history as the first Black woman to host SportsCentre, Canada’s flagship sports highlight show. She has covered major sporting events, including the Toronto Raptors’ 2019 NBA Championship run, and frequently appears on TSN Radio.
Kayla also served as an official correspondent for The Amazing Race Canada 7 and hosted related spin-offs.
