Marriyum Aurangzeb began her professional career working with WWF-Pakistan from 2004 to 2013, focusing on environmental conservation and sustainable development. She played a key role in advancing Pakistan’s environmental policies and international agreements, including pioneering Sustainable Development Goals legislation in the National Assembly.
Aurangzeb entered politics with Pakistan Muslim League (N) and was elected to the National Assembly on a reserved seat for women in 2013. She served as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting from 2016 to 2018 and was elevated to Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting in 2018.
