Jaehyun spent his formative years in Seoul, where he attended Singil Elementary School and Sungnam Middle School, and later graduated from Sungnam High School.

Myung Jaehyun began his music career as a trainee under YG Entertainment before joining KOZ Entertainment in 2022. He was the last member to join BOYNEXTDOOR and debuted with the group on May 30, 2023, with the single album “WHO!”.

  As the leader, Jaehyun has been instrumental in shaping the group’s musical direction, contributing to songwriting and composing tracks such as “But I Like You,” “Serenade,” and “Crying .”In January 2024, he expanded his career by becoming an MC for Mnet’s “M Countdown,” showcasing his versatility in the entertainment industry.

In December 2024, Myung Jaehyun became the subject of dating rumours involving NMIXX’s Haewon. A viral post suggested that the two idols were in a relationship, citing similarities in their gestures and appearances on music shows.

Fans noted that Haewon‘s description of her ideal type matched Jaehyun’s characteristics and pointed out instances where both idols spelled out “LOVE” using their fingers within days of each other.  

Additionally, they observed that Haewon mentioned the number 24, which Jaehyun had previously worn on a jersey during BOYNEXTDOOR‘s activities with NBA Japan.
