Emily Kinney (40 years old) was born on August 15, 1985, in Wayne, Nebraska, to Vaughn Charles Kinney and Jeanne Kinney. She has an older sister, Sara, and the family relocated several times during her childhood, living in Nebraska, Nevada, and Oregon.

After relocating to New York City, Emily Kinney landed a role in the Broadway production of Spring Awakening in 2006, serving as a replacement for the character Anna and understudy for Wendla.

She made her screen debut in the 2007 short film Aunt Tigress, then appeared in guest spots on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and The Good Wife. Her first feature film credit was as a waitress in the 2009 romantic comedy It’s Complicated. In 2011, she was cast as Beth Greene on The Walking Dead, advancing from guest star to series regular.
