IronE Singleton was born on November 30, 1975, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. After losing his mother to HIV/AIDS during his senior year of high school and growing up without a father, he earned both academic and athletic scholarships to the University of Georgia.
There, he completed a double major in Theatre and Speech Communications and played for the Bulldogs football team—initially as a defensive back before switching to running back when more recruits joined the roster.
