Roshan Ranawana is now 44 and was born on March 23, 1981, in Wattala, Sri Lanka. His father, Tony Massillamany, was a national-level rugby player, and his mother, Kanthi Ranawana, supported his early involvement in the arts and sports.

He attended St. Joseph’s College, Colombo 10, excelling in basketball and joining the school choir, and later studied science at Asian International School, Colombo 5, where he represented the school in rugby and other sports.
