Early Life and Education

Gautam Rode was born on August 14, 1977, in Delhi, India, to Surendra Rode, a retired broker, and Sangeeta Rode, a jewellery designer. Raised in a middle-class family with an elder sister, Rashmi, he initially aspired to join his father’s stock brokerage business.

He completed his schooling at Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi, and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University.

During college, he participated in a fashion contest at BITS Pilani, where he won the Best Model award, sparking his interest in the entertainment industry. His family later moved to Mumbai, where he pursued a career in acting. His ethnicity is Indian, and he follows Hinduism.

Gautam Rode began his career as a model, working with prominent brands such as Close-Up, Raymond, and Maruti Suzuki. His acting debut came in 1995 with the Zee TV show Jahan Pyaar Mile. In 2000, he took on episodic roles in Rishtey, Apna Apna Style, and Thriller at 10.

His Bollywood debut was in Annarth (2002), playing Inspector Sameer Deshmukh alongside Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty, earning praise from critic Taran Adarsh for his screen presence and stunt work.

Personal Life

Gautam Rode married actress Pankhuri Awasthy on February 5, 2018, after meeting on the set of Suryaputra Karn in 2015. They got engaged in 2017 and wed in Alwar, Rajasthan. On July 25, 2023, they welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, celebrating their first Raksha Bandhan in 2023.
