Early life and education

Akpororo was born on April 14, 1984, in Warri, located in Delta State, Nigeria; he hails from Ilaje in Ondo State. While his place of origin is Ilaje, he spent his childhood and formative years growing up in Warri. His parents’ names were known as Mr. and Mrs. Oluwatosin Tanimola.

From a young age, Akpororo was passionate about comedy, constantly entertaining his loved ones with jokes and funny expressions. In 2008, he took a leap of faith and decided to pursue comedy as a career by participating in the National Comedy Challenge organized by Opa Williams.

 Although he emerged victorious in the Calabar zone, he fell short of winning the national competition. He has two siblings named Joseph Bowoto and Patience Bowoto.

He began his educational journey in Warri, attending primary and secondary school. After completing his secondary education, Akpororo embarked on his professional journey in the music industry as a local gospel musician.

Akpororo’s journey in the entertainment industry began in 2008 when he initially delved into the gospel music genre. Demonstrating his versatility, he seized an opportunity to showcase his comedic talents by participating in the renowned National Comedy Challenge by Opa Williams.

 His exceptional comedic skills propelled him to claim victory in the Calabar chapter of the competition. The following year, Akpororo relocated to Lagos, a bustling hub for performers and artists alike. Eagerly seeking further recognition and growth, he took part in AY’s Open Mic Challenge not just once but twice. 

Although he narrowly missed first place during his inaugural attempt, Akpororo’s tenacity paid off as he emerged victorious in the subsequent round, cementing.
