Daniel Goddard was born on August 28, 1971, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, with an older brother named Simon Goddard.

Goddard initially pursued a finance degree at university, but he did not complete the programme after deciding to pursue acting and transferring his focus to the Ensemble Actors Studio.

Career

Daniel Goddard began his professional journey in Australia after studying finance and developing an interest in acting.

His first major television work came on the Australian soap opera Home and Away, where he played Eric Phillips.

After moving to the United States, Goddard expanded his profile as a model, working for major fashion brands including Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana.

His acting breakthrough arrived in 1999 when he was cast as Dar, the central character in the syndicated action-adventure series BeastMaster.

He remained in the lead role from 1999 to 2002, appearing in more than sixty episodes.

Following BeastMaster, Goddard continued building his television and film résumé, appearing in projects including Dream Warrior, Monk, Wild Card, Lightspeed, and Immortally Yours.

In January 2007, Goddard joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama The Young and the Restless as Cane Ashby.
