Early Life and Education

R.Chord was born on April 15, 1987, in Puli, Nantou County, Taiwan. He was raised by parents Hsie Chih-meng and Mrs. Hsieh.

He grew up having one sibling, Hsieh Kuan-hsien. By the age of 16, he had written dozens of original songs and won a songwriting competition.

Although he was offered a recording contract with HIM International Music, he declined the offer in favor of pursuing independent music with his band SEA-LEVEL. He attended Nanhua Senior High School.
