James Franco was born on the 19th of April 1978 in Palo Alto, California, United States.

His father, Douglas Eugene Franco, is a businessman and is the founder of silicon valley. James Franco‘s mother, Betsy Franco, is an author of a children’s book, and she is also a seasoned actress, a part-time actress.

James Franco is the eldest of three children, he has two younger siblings named Dave Franco and Tom Franco, and they are both actors.

James Franco attended the Palo Alto High School in 1996. He used to act in school plays and dramas during his high school days.
