Jithan Ramesh was born on October 23, 1982, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He comes from a Marwari-Tamil family and is the son of renowned film producer R B Choudary and Tippu Choudary.
He has three brothers, including actor Jiiva, while his other brothers are B. Suresh and Jeevan Choudary.

Jithan Ramesh made his acting debut in the Telugu film Vidyardhi (2004).
