Janowicz attended Mukwonago High School in Wisconsin and graduated in 2000. His school years preceded a relatively quick transition into professional entertainment, as he began receiving screen opportunities only a few years after completing high school.
Rather than following a highly publicized traditional Hollywood training route, Janowicz developed his career largely by accumulating practical experience in film and television.
His early appearances gave him exposure to professional productions before he gradually moved toward independent filmmaking.
His education at Mukwonago High School remains the clearest documented part of his formal educational background. There is no sufficiently reliable public record confirming a university degree or a specific acting conservatory attended after high school.

In The Chumscrubber, Janowicz portrayed Troy, appearing alongside Jamie Bell, Camilla Belle, Glenn Close and Ralph Fiennes. The film became one of the more recognizable early entries in his acting résumé.
He subsequently took a leading role in December Ends, playing Chris Conley. The film gave him a more substantial dramatic part after several smaller supporting and guest appearances.
Janowicz continued his film work in On the Doll, portraying Jaron, and appeared in television productions such as Degrassi: The Next Generation and State of Georgia. His television credits remained relatively selective rather than extensive.
In The Nature of Space & Time, he played Charlie York. The short-form production added another independent project to his résumé and reflected his continued interest in smaller-scale filmmaking.
His acting work eventually expanded into the 2010s, including State of Georgia and Complicity. In Complicity, he portrayed Dylan Hudson, giving him another prominent independent-film role.
Janowicz later moved more decisively behind the camera. He directed the short film B-, followed by Mojito, establishing himself as a filmmaker rather than limiting his career to acting.
His most substantial directing credit is Life Like, a science-fiction thriller released in 2019. Janowicz directed the film and also served as a writer. The project starred Steven Strait, Addison Timlin and Drew Van Acker.
His career is particularly associated with independent cinema, character-driven drama and genre filmmaking. His work behind the camera demonstrates an interest in developing original stories rather than relying solely on acting assignments.
