Early Life and Education
Kåre Conradi first saw the light of day on 11 January 1972 in Asker Municipality, Norway, to parents Fredrik Conradi, Mona Conradi.
He has an older brother, Jacob Conradi. He grew up on Nesøya in Asker.
Conradi trained at Statens teaterhøgskole (Norwegian Theatre Academy / Oslo National Academy of the Arts) from 1992 to 1995, at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). He is of Norwegian origin, his religion is Christianity.
Career
Kåre Conradi made his stage debut in 1989 at Oslo Nye Teater in the musical Jenta mi.
After graduating from Statens teaterhøgskole, he joined Nationaltheatret, where he has been a regular ensemble member since the mid-1990s (full-time from 1999), performing in more than 30 productions.
He spent time at Trøndelag Teater, where he played the title role in Hamlet, Tony in West Side Story. He also served as part of the artistic leadership at Teatret på Torshov (2000–2003).
Early recognition came through roles such as Charlie Conlon in Stones in His Pockets (performed over 250 times), work in radio theatre. He received the Blå Fugl award for his performance as Falk in Ibsen’s Kjærlighetens komedie.
