Kurt Russell was born on March 17, 1951, in Springfield, Massachusetts, to parents Bing Russell, a professional baseball player, and Louise Julia Russell.

He is the second of four children, with siblings Jill Russell, Jamie Russell, and Jody Russell. He attended Thousand Oaks High School in California.


Kurt Russell’s acting career began at a young age, with his first role at just 11 years old in the Elvis Presley movie It Happened at the World’s Fair (1963).
