Leonardo Cecchi was born on August 26, 1998, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to an American mother from Iowa and an Italian father.
He grew up in Piscina near Turin and has two siblings, Sophia Cecchi and Alessandro Cecchi.
He studied acting, diction, jazz dance, singing, and musical theatre at Turin’s Liceo Germana Erba. Later, he attended Santa Monica College and UCLA studies.
Career
Leonardo Cecchi began performing in youth theatre at the age of 6. His professional breakthrough came after a Disney casting director discovered him at his high school, leading to his first screen role as Alex Leoni in Alex & Co.. The series ran for four seasons and was broadcast internationally.
After Alex & Co., Leonardo Cecchi appeared in the Disney productions Tini: The New Life of Violetta and How to Grow Up Despite Your Parents.
He subsequently moved to Los Angeles and continued his acting training at the Ivana Chubbuck Acting Studio and Sanford Meisner Center.
His American credits include Catch-22, Gods of Food, The Wrong Stepmother, Vote for Santa, American Horror Stories, Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend, A Christmas Mystery, and Prom Dates.
